What is a battery cycle?
Answered By Bart Trevet, Editor
The term itself suggests that it is the sequence of changes in a battery life. It tells the number of cycles that a battery can perform before it reaches the nominal capacity, which is below 80% of the initial rated capacity.
It is typical for a battery to reach between 500-1200 cycles. The aging process also continues at the same rate unless there is reduction in capacity.
